The Pride that’s not Prideful. Ordinary confidence is fragile. Vajra pride is a deep appreciation for yourself and all else that cannot be shaken. A message from Shambhavi Sarasvati at kindred108.love. We're all kindred here.
I really like the analogy of the lightning which illuminates the darkness. previously I visualized vajra as being some sort of indestructible subtle exoskeleton like tantric wolverine. This makes way more sense.
I was very impressed with the Vajra part of it having to do with the god Indra, precursor of Shiva. After all, this is Buddhism and not Shaivism that we are talking about. Finally, I've found one of the connections and hoping to find more. Thats why they call Vajrayana a tantric path. I never saw why in plain ways. Now I start to and love it.
It is very good, especially the story of the little girl pianist.
I've found this path a few years ago, but never became a regular practitioner or joined any group or religion for that matter. I simply borrowed heavily from Kashmir Shaivism, a form of Tantra and from Buddhism. Now with this group and all of the other Shambhavi stuff available, I am starting to belong to an org.
I come from a Vedanta/Buddhism background, but was bothered by its form of traditional non dualism. Our form is much better for me.
Going back to the essay on mana and the diamond quality of Vajrayana, this helped me much. I suffer from medium intensity depression, of an on and off nature. The intervals usually last four months. I take the prescription Zoloft for it. However, even with the pill I get depressed every four months. I am asking for advice and assistance. What practices are good for getting rid of this awful thing once and for all?
Hi Pedro, Welcome to K108. Thanks so much for becoming a paid subscriber. The best way to start participating at Jaya Kula is to come to the weekly Sunday satsang. It is offered via livestream. You can find the Zoom login by requesting to join the private Facebook group, Jaya Kula News. We post it there. I'll also be sending out an email with that information to all K108 subscribers soon.
I'm sorry to hear you experience depression. Best thing to do is find a good Chinese medicine or Ayurvedic doc near to where you live. You can also start with the Breath Immersion and Golden Egg meditation here: https://jayakula.org/do-practice/meditation/. It's the second on the page. Hope to see you in satsang, love, Shambhavi
I will sure look into Breath Immersion and Golden Egg. Thank you for your prompt response. I wa not expecting it this soon and neither that it would be directly from you. I thought that you had someone to answer for you here, since it is a great deal of people who read you. Here, in this particular place, is there as much people as in the website, in You Tube and in your facebook page?
You are so busy and you still answered yourself. So, I greatly appreciate it. Hugs!
Awesomely expressed! Thank you! 🙏🩵

Beautiful painting, by the way, the mountain.
